richie, that team went 60-8-12.. for 132 pts.. and there was not OT.. or 1 pt for OT losses.. a tie was a tie.. if they played those days with today's rules. the 12 ties would have surely resulted in a 10-2 record probably.. which means that same team today would hve been 70-8-2 for 142 pts.. the 132 pts is the NHL record, so we would have had 142 pts.. and in ONLY 80 games, not 82 games like today..

they went 33-1-6 at home and i believe lost their only game at home on final game.. with todays rules, they would hve been 38-1-1, as they probably would have won 5 of the 6 ties..

what a team this was.. yes, best team in sports history.. and i am not saying this because i am from montreal.
