You can sort of extrapolate by looking at the %'s and the line movement, i.e. is the split is 74%/26% yet the line hasn't moved one bit, the money is probably about even on each side.

because for those who actually want to "fade the public" I believe it would be a more accurate gauge. I agree with your example above. 75/25 yet line doesn't move, means money is about even. Yet, you could have a 55/45 split and the line is moving 1.5-2 points either way, which would dictate money on that side.

thats not necessarily true.

it depends on when youre looking at the line, the age of the line, and if the line is opinionated. and still you dont know then.
