Oh man Genny...I am a bit of a NASCAR hater, and way back in the day I would get into heated debates that turned into arguments that turned into fistfights over whether NASCAR was a sport or not.

These days I don't care anymore. But man that was a fun argument back in the day

Whether it's a sport or not, NASCAR drivers do not = athletes. But that's an entirely different subject.

You know I'm on your side in this one, Pete. Drivers don't qualify as athletes, but you certainly don't need athletes to have a sport. At the beginning of every sport there is strategy and competition, and racing has those two elements in greater measure than almost anything we wager on.
