When I think of "underachieved", I think of highly touted guys that never live up to their billing. In the case of Shark, I would consider his teams being the ones underachieving as he has actually pitched very well.Originally posted by d2betsComment -

Giants have lost 31 of Bumgarner's starts since 2013. 13 of the losses came with 1 run difference (.419).
Cards have lost 26 of Waino's starts since 2013. 10 of the losses came with 1 run difference (.385).
At least Samardzija is not alone. And these were the only other guys I looked into.

Kluber is the better pitcher but Samardzija can be just as good any given day. Early on in his career with the Cubs he had control issues and walks would always come back to haunt him but seems like he has gotten better because he doesn't walk very many batters nowComment -
Samardzija definitely looks like a decent bet at plus money. But he will need some support from the offense here, because Kluber on the other side flashed some good stuff to start the season as well.
It might come down to whose bullpen can take care of the job. Yesterday that top prospect Rondon didn't do a very good job. How does the rest of Chicago's bullpen looks like?
With two strong starters, under has to be in consideration. But with solid wind blowing into the centre field, mistakes will get punished with extra base hits.

He's a solid pitcher, but Kluber is an absolulte beast. Kluber is a top 10 pitcher in the MLB, and top 3 for consistency. 90% of the time he will not give up more than 3 runs when he pitches. Extremely extremely solid. I'm on Indians today. Go Tribe.Comment -
