I still like this Dodger offense quite a bit, and Billingsly VS. Pads offense makes me happy

Definitely can't argue with you, it is always hard to swallow -odds on a runline.
But the prohibitive edge in both pitching and offense goes to the Blue Crew here, and I really do believe they win this match-up by 2+ runs over 50% of the time... so the price is right for me. Respect the non-play though

I like pitchers making their ML debuts for small wagers. You always get fat lines. Today Walter Silva for SD garnered a (+160) line, and although the Dodger offense is solid, 20 strikeouts in their first 65 at bats isn't a pretty number. Also, Billingsley's worst month has been April in the last 2 seasons. It's the only month he has a career losing record and has an ERA of 5.44 (career avg. ERA = 3.33). Hoping for a slow start from him again this year.

I love ML debuts, and if the guy has much talent, with no scouting report on him yet, he can sometimes come into the big leagues with a bang.
That said, a 32-year-old pitcher that just started pitching when he was 27 years old who has a career ERA of 4.62 in the Mexican Summer League isn't exactly the type of "prospect" I want my money on against the NL West favorites.
Yes 20 Ks looks bad, but Peavy is one of the best strikeout pitchers in the game, and Chris Young isn't too shabby himself. I don't think +160 is a good enough number to consider the Padres here, but GL on your bet

Big wager, small wager, I'm not judging.
Your logic is spot on; any time you get a proven commodity against an un-hyped unknown, the line is going to be inflated for the unknown, as you said. I'm sure you've hit a few nice little scores on your small wagers.
Just hope the Dodgers don't win by one and screw us BOTH over. Lets at least one of us get a winner out of this

Yeah just read... shoulder stiffness in the opener explains a lot... a healthy Webb is usually not that hittable.
I'm very worried for my fantasy team . Hope it is nothing serious.
Thanks for watching and GL on the Brew Crew tonight

Dave are you wagering on these plays or just giving them out as picks. Just curious....wagering big or small don't matter I was posting $10 plays and getting hammered, just curious if you're putting something on them is all

As you likely know, the SBR policy is we can not have money in any book rated on our site as it could create a conflict of interest.

Oh I thought only guys involved in ratings couldn't do that...but maybe you are.
