OT: Anyone been through a cold lately?

Try colloidal silver as preventative maintenance. I make my own and that was the end of my yearly cold. Same for my family and friends. Haven't had a bacterial infection since. The 'problem' is that it works, is easy to make, and is cheap, so if the US government should ever see colloidal silver as undermining the medical industry, they'd undoubtedly make it illegal. They'd rather hook you on expensive drugs. I bought my machine for about 200 bucks. There are much cheaper contraptions on the market, but a lot of research convinced me those are not the best way to go.

I NEVER get sick but whatever is going around caught up with me last week....The sore throat was terrible! I went to the docs office after a week of putting up with that shit and they prescribed some antibiotics which killed it completely within 36hours.....GL to you guys that aren't feeling good,if it doesnt get better soon GO SEE THE DOC!

Illusion I hear you. I smoke cigars so my nicotine craving doesn't really rise to the level of must have/addiction. But when going from a couple a day to none, was hard.

I've had a cough I can't get rid of for the past 2 weeks. Nothing I take seems to get rid of it. Kind of frustrating especially when it keeps you awake at night

You might want to go to the doctor. I had same last year and thought was just cold, turned out to be be strep throat. After a week with no progression or improvement likely a good idea.

Thanks for the advice, I'm going to ride it out for a few days and see what happens. Been taking Robitussen and it seems to help. I think that's what the doctor would probably give me anyway.

Antibiotics are often over prescribed, but if no improvement in a week, got to consider going to a doctor.
