Memphis for years and years has always had shot to get to final 4 with or without Calipari

Bullshit
The reason they got stud players was because of him coaching there. they are in for a long rebuilding process now.

not true JJ, Pastner will be fine though. He is a MONSTER recruiter and should be just as good as Cal. IMO, he'll blow as a bench coach though. So........ basically Cal never left

they won't be a national power like they were.
Calipari is great at what he does. The trouble is that he, like a few other successful coaches (Rick Pitino, Larry Brown, etc.), can't stay in one place for too long.

I consider 9 years a very noble long period of time.

Memphis will make a sharp turn into mediocrity for the better part of our lives. We will have to tell our children about when D. Rose played for Memphis. And they were relevant.

Calapari is the man. He took Umass far with Duncan, and to the finals with D. Rose. He knows how to win.
I do feel bad for Gillespie getting the boot by Kentucky. He is a good coach. He totally changed A&M to a respectable basketball program. With his blueprint, the Aggies made it to 4 straight NCAA tourneys.

Memphis hadn't been a national contender for near a decade before Calipari got there. The guy is a great recruiter, but a horrible free throw shooting coach. It'll be hilarious if Kentucky recruits a bunch of Shaq attackers at the FT line too.
