    BetCris vs US anti-gambling legislation
I recently received a flyer from Cris offering a no-fee ATM card. I can deposit or withdraw from my Cris account just like any other bank account.

the new legislation *may* allow the US government to designate that particular payout service as "gambling related", and enact measures to disable a group of accounts from ATM access. I guess it would take at LEAST 6 months to do this on any account. In less than a month, Cris can create a new batch of accounts and send it to its players.

Things may change. Western Union and Neteller might even fall to the side. But one thing is certain - sportsbooks will be creative and diligent to provide payment solutions to players, especially the top-tier books. I have no fears at all leaving money at Cris, Olympic and Pinnacle. I am reluctant to leave money at smaller books catering mainly to the US - they may not have the resources to offer new ATM cards at a whim, or whatever other methods they will use to get players their money fast.

with this new legislation, there's going to be more middle man for Americans to transfer funds.

Like if you have a relative up here in Canada, get them to open a bank account on your behalf.

I have some bank accounts that are in U.S. funds even though I reside in Canada. So there's plenty of banks in Canada that do U.S. accounts.

I completely agree. Companys like Pinnacle and WSEX will probably become much more successful collecting customers during this period. Which will further motivate them to create new methods of fund transfers. I certainly think that opening an account in a foreign country or getting a relative in Canada to do this will be completley unneccerary. Bottom line is we should be happy that companies like Pinnacle and WSEX, which we know won't screw us, will become bigger and more successful

Some books are talking with Antiguan banks about developing an interface for players. The plan is for players to send their money to their bank instead of a "gaming intermediary." It would add to the WTO case and probably create a need for the bill to address 3rd party banks.

That was my first thoughts on how to handle this B.S. law as well when it first passed Bill. More or less kind of a "hub" type send and recieve type payment solution.

Why do we need all this the law is shortsighted to begin with... Theres too many loopholes to count... I just can't believe the jacko**s that created this bill were born on this planet... Enough ranting... Its good to see that the books are being creative.
