Who knows U.S. Cellular Field well?
Tomorrow there is supposed to be 18mph wind coming from the NW for the 2:00 game at U.S. Cellular field between the White Sox and Royals. Does anyone know if that means it will be blowing in or out for that game? The total opened up at 7.5 and moved to 8 and is shaded right now for the over at -118 from pinny. Anyone who has accurate information of how the wind works there would do me a great help and probably many others as well.

Here's the weather link for the tomorrows conditions:

well pinny is no exact science. I mean right now they have -7.5 -118...some books have it already at 8 so that may be the reason its shaded to the over and they just haven't gotten as much action on it as other books. I mean I just want to know if anyone knows the true wind factor because I've heard that sometimes the wind is more of a factor at this field then it is a Wrigley.

Very true about the wind factor at the Cell being more of a factor than Wrigley... The wind at the Cell tomorrow will be blowing straight out to CF. I would take over in this game for sure

I think you have yourself a good play here but with those two guys on the mound you could face some reistance GL

Meche and Buehrle both had bad springs so I'm banking on a little of that also today.

If the pitchers are ground ball throwers it doesn't matter if the wind is blowing 18 mph outside or 36 mph inside.

There is a list of park layouts in the baseball forum. Still haven't updated the two new ones in New York. I know new Yankee Std is positioned the same, and Citi Park should be very close if not identical to Shea. Believe it's cocked ever so slightly.

I have been picking at this game all morning and my only play right now would be 1st 5 innings over 4 runs.

With both of them having bad springs I hope that one will crack early and bust those 4 runs out to atleast give me a push on the bet.
