OT: Text Messaging: SUCKS!!!

Seems like another way for people to hide. I can't stand getting text messages and why do women have to text 24/7?

I just got one about a snake being outside a house. WTF am I supposed to do about it? Throw something at it and be on your way. FFS!

I may boycott text messaging and have some peace in my life.

Text messaging is great for quick messages. "Where you at?", "Are there any chicks?", "Nice, what's the score?"

Women have a knack for over doing it. "So we were just wondering what you think we should do for dinner. My sister is coming over and she wants to order sushi but I just had sushi last night and we were wondering if you wouldn't mind..."

texting is in w/ the younger crowd....i use them if i dont feel like having a 25 min. convo w/ someone.. i say what i need and thats that.

Huge text messaging advocate here. Saves a ton of cash on minutes I would spend other wise and is great for quick messages when you have no intention on drawing up a long conversation about where the remote control is.

Agree with the short ones but if you want a conversation, pick up the phone.

I use it mostly when I'm in a poor signal area or right after dropping the same call repeatedly. Also when I know that the person I'm trying to contact is either driving, in the subway or otherwise unavailable. That's it.

My 2 sons combined sent almost 3000 texts in February.

text message is useful because you don't want your wife to know you're texting your mistress. looks like you're doing work.

I send out approx. 300 messages a day to be honest. Thats around 9,000 a month.

Bread use to text me like 50-70x per day and I never responded to one, he had like little tidbits about his day and life, quotes of the day, ect. I thought kind of bizarre but that is guess is his thing.
