They would, but from what I read it's more caponomics for them this year. They couldn't go higher on Murray because they didn't have cap room without screwing around with a lot more. So yeah AP is a no no without some money help.

Cowboys have more then enough cap room to sign Murray or AP without anymore restructuring but simply refused to match the amount of guaranteed money that the Eagles were offering. Murray was a solid pickup for the Eagles but the amount of money they are spending at the RB position is a bit of a head scratcher.

When has $$ ever stopped JJ from getting something he really wanted?

People have finally convinced him it makes no sense mortgaging your future on aging players. Especially not a RB that just gave you the best he'll ever be able to give.

Who knows how it'll all work out? For any of us. I am confused by some of Chip's moves. IMO.....Foles/Shady/Maclin >>>> than Bradford/Murray/Cooper.

But what do I know?

Elway hated the guy because he was always causing issues on the team with the evangelism. Nothing like having a non-contributor on a team causing issues-- Kelly causing his own problems.
