I think they want this though because it means new signups at the host book (Bodog) which means more revenue for the site, these things are a nice gesture but are meant to make the book and SBR money as well it is a buisiness

nah...all the people who signed up already had bodog accounts and thus are not sbr affiliate players.

basically they see "SBR Freeroll" in the freeroll tab, and google it, end up here, and sign up for it to take a shot.

They will never come back to SBR again

SBR next time you run a contest make it so people who actually contribute to your site are the only ones involved. Kind of boring when the only guy at your table that you know is someone you got beef with.

Yeah, SBR is selling its soul for traffic lately. First it was all the telemarketing by the books, now they let guys with no post count horn in on the contests. Shouldn't these contest prizes be for those of us that contribute regularly and help SBR get those fat kick-backs on player losses?

You would think they would do all they can to keep guys like me and Sammy that have lost 10k to the books after signing up through affiliate links happy, however with the recent chain of events that has gone on in the past few months here, you never know what is going on.

No. All these cock fukks who signed up for the tournament originally saw it listed on the Bodog Poker Software. They already had Bodog accounts.

SBR gets paid when guys sign up for books through SBR links. All of these guys with 0 posts in the top 10 are bodog freeroll players who had accounts, saw the freeroll listed, googled SBR, signed up on SBR to register for freeroll only, and will never come back to SBR to post again.

They thought what they were doing was a good idea however the brainiacs behind it had it all wrong.

lol OTW...a lot of the new guys saw the tourney under the tourney tabs at bodog and signed up here. Hopefully they are here to stay...some good players. Might be able to get some stuff in the poker forum.

Most of the Bodog poker players don't use their posting name. It wasn't required. If they weren't new to Bodog, the screen name probably wouldn't be a forum name. We did advertise it on the SBRforum homepage which has more traffic than the posting board. To get in the tourney, you had to create a SBRforum handle.

SBRforum gave over 6 figures in cash prizes to posters in the last year. Part of keeping a good board is growing it and building the site. If we don't advertise some of these things to the players on our other websites you will be complaining that the board is too slow after you spend your winnings. For guys who want to get paid to post, there are probably forums for that. Tell us if it's a better return.

Dozer, no offense guy but you all need some better brains behind the contest portion of your site. I am of average to slightly above average intelligence and pick your sites contest flaws apart with regularity.
