Good night SBR, met Isaiah Stanback tonight at the club
The owner came up to me and said #86 Isaiah Stanback from the Dallas Cowboys was there. The owner introduced me, I gave him a handshake, and said "never heard of ya pal". He laughed about it and I walked away.

PRO: A versatile athlete, Isaiah Stanback played quarterback in college but moved to wide receiver in the NFL. The Cowboys drafted him in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft with the hope that he will become the next Hines Ward or Antwaan Randle El. His rookie season served as a redshirt year for Stanback as he adjusted to the everyday role as a wide receiver. He is expected to make a bigger contribution to the offense in 2008 with a year under his belt at the position.

    TRANSACTION SUMMARY:
4/29/07: Drafted in the fourth round (103rd overall) by Dallas.

    2007:
    - Appeared in two games on special teams and at receiver, totaling three kickoff returns for 78 yards (26.0 avg.).
    - Played in three preseason games to record three receptions for 39 yards.
    - Made his NFL debut at Philadelphia (11/4) as a kick returner and returned three kickoffs for 78 yards with a long return of 35 yards.
    - Saw his first action at wide receiver late in the game against the N.Y. Jets (11/22) while also playing special teams.
    - Was inactive for the rest of the season including the team's Divisional Playoff Game against the N.Y. Giants (1/13/08).

    COLLEGE:
    - Began his collegiate career at Washington as a receiver in his freshman season but went on to become one of the most prolific quarterbacks in school history.
    - Ranked 11th in school history with 3,868 career yards, second with 14.38 career yards-per-completion, third among quarterbacks with 794 career rushing yards and fourth with 126.0 total offensive yards-per-game.
    - Finished sixth with 7.4 career yards-per-pass attempt, sixth among quarterba

Just FYI, he's the one that was playing QB for the Washington Huskies when they were on the USC 10 yd line on the last play of the game and almost single-handedly pulled the upset the Leinart and Bush led Trojans who I believe beat the hell out of Illinois in the Rose Bowl. I don't recall if USC won the title that year. He was a Pat White type who was a good college QB for a couple years and never has panned out as of yet in Dallas.
