I hear about some of these guys making a living wagering on sports through these sportsbooks. If you make that much money, and make those kind of withdrawals... Why would these sportsbooks allow you to keep betting with them? I thought they were suppose to make money off of us. Not the other way around. Let me know. I would love to wager for a living.

#15people that bet tons of games daily and never can take a pass...just do not understand their long terms odds are sitting on just about zero. Also the ones who treat certain games as big games just because they are championship or playoff games. Your big games should be the ones you win more than lose...not the ones the books feed to you...
As far as making a living good luck... I try to pick and choose, only bet 5 games last week, went 3-2...ended week up again... But never enough to cover the bills... And the weeks and losing streaks you run into...not having a job to pay the bills then would be your burial. Maybe a few can do it, but as Raydog said you better go to work build your own nest egg, protect it, and only bet what you can afford to lose... GL G.Comment -

everybody loses, do not beleive the hype. Look at Tpowell a memeber he brags about his high percentage however got MSU Louisville, and MSU Connecticut wrong. Brags about making so much money but he is on here all day long. Everybody loses. You can bank on thatComment -

#17You have to take advantage of the free money. Bonuses, as many books as possible for the best line, Arbs if a book happens to move slow etc. If you want to make money with this you have to WORK, forget the "iam so cool i can pick winners" shit that some peeps love to claim for themselves.Comment -

Slick is dead on, only 1% of sports bettors are successful. The other 99% do not have the discipline or proper money management to make a profit. I have been in the business for plenty of years and see people come and go. Like G states above, where people go wrong is making too many bets a week and not being able to pass. Look at wontmentionhisname for example. I exchanged a few emails with the guy and he was crying for help. He was one hell of a capper but the highs outweighed the lows. The guy started off betting $1,000 on 2-3 games a day that he would release on SBR's thread "wontmentionhisname." Sooner or later he would hit a nice 20-5 run then the devil would take over. He would have no control over himself then started betting 8-10 bets a day at $1,000 a piece. An email I got from him he told me that it got to the point where he was betting over 30 bets a day, on ridiculous bets like who would win the coin toss, quarters, halves, etc... Finally, he begged his buddy to step in and help him. His friend then took complete control of all his finances and seized his online betting accounts. The saddest part about the whole thing is that he will be back. He has tried to stop a few times and just doesn't have the self control. I guarantee you within a month wontmentionhisname will be back on SBR dropping his plays, which means he will be throwing away thousands and thousands of dollars. This is a very extreme case of the addiction sports betting has on people, however this is one example of the millions.
Sorry to go on my spill but if I can help atleast one person thats what this is all about. Keep sports betting recreational, and always have discipline over yourself! Good luck everyone!Comment -

#19Thanks Guys...
I will absolutely keep my day job. I know I am not even close to being a pro at this. I have much to learn and will probably always be just a recreational bettor. I think in the long run it will be more fun that way.Comment -
