Believe me I am really trying to tone down on the drinking. And being a small time bettor, it's hard for me to handle the swings when I lay huge, which is rare to begin with.
I am at the Monte Carlo right now in the sports book waiting to fill a few more hours in the poker room.
I really need to get a pair of shoes, I can't believe how much walking I have donw. On the accomodations side of things, I walked up Paradise & found some more respectable places that were reasonably priced. I found this place called Terribles! The health nuts here at SBR will be happy to hear that with a players card (which I got today) the breakfast buffet was $3.99 (with all you can drink).
It's $32.99 Sun-Wed & $50.99 Thur & $99.99 for Fri & Sat.
Still a little pricey but, not bad.
Then I took a right on Harmon & found a place called Rumor. 24th-28th $48 per night. Next door to that there is a place called the Americana that looks just like the scum hole I'm in now but I'm a 5 iron from the HRH. Much nicer part of town.
The final place I stopped in at was the Alexis. It's $54.88 (taxes in) Sun - Thur & $66.08 Weekend.
So when rent is up in $H|TSville, I'll be deciding between one of these places.

There's no doubt now that I have to lay off the table games. And the Horses.
Terrible's has a sportsbook with $5 minimums & it has a small poker room.
