i used to watch the repeats when i was a little kid.. and now when i watch it, i say to myself, man is this stupid. what was i thinking??

did you boys know that the intro song of this show won best song in the history of any tv show.. and it was written by the creator sitting on a piano and having to come up with a song by 6 am or so, and he started at midnight on his piano playing around with the keys and came up with the song and the lyrics in just a few hrs.

turned out to be the best song ever made for tv. #1..

                It is a great song.

lol Nicky. I was in my old neighborhood not to long ago. And drove by my childhood house. And said WOW the yard is so small? But
When I was a kid I thought it was miles and miles long.

tell me about it. i swear to GOD, i grew up in a 2 bedroom apt with my bro and parents. i always imagined the kitchen was humungous and my bedroom was huuuuuuuge... i went back to visit the apt 3 yrs ago cause it was for rent and wanted to see it out of curiousity.. i swear, the kitchen was tiny and our bedroom was a box.

i told myself, NO WAY this can be it.. NO WAY.. and it was.

when you're a kid, all seems big and great.. even my summer vacation from school felt like 9 months, and not 2.5 months. today, 2.5 months feel like 2.5 days.. summer days lasted forever in the parks.. days never finished, weeks took forever.. today i blink and it's night time and time to go to bed and it's already the weekend.

beamer, i hate growing up. i wish i was still a kid..

I am not usually good at impressions but I can do a decent Thurston Howell III. Well, maybe not so much decent as idiotic-enough-to-be-funny.

And yes, in the age old debate of Ginger or Mary-Anne?, I was all about Mary-Anne.

Always watched Gilligan's Island when I was a kid. Think 99% of the guys were Mary-Anne guys, don't know anyone that have said they like Ginger more.

Maybe so in your group but I think in the universe at large it is more even, maybe even tilting slightly in Ginger's favor. I think we even had a poll here in the early days where it came out pretty even. I could be wrong.

Then there was the WKRP thing, Jennifer-or-Bailey? I was always about Bailey - no contest. But a lot of guys go for the plasticky Loni Anderson/Ginger type over the girl-next-door.

Does anyone know if there was ever a Giligan's Island themed porn flick?Professor making dildos from the rubber trees, sybian or whatever they call those pleasure machines from the motor of the Minnow. The Skipper just watches from a closet of palm leaves because he can't get it up.Maryanne who's known for making banana cream pies does other cream pies that don't need baking.Thurston is useless because his prostate is the size of a coconut.Giligan is built like John Holmes because the scrawny weird looking guys are like that.Ginger and Mrs.Howel get it on with all the people including the natives who just show up for a day or two on the island.

i beg to differ about all loving mary ann. i knew i was no longer a baby and a big boy when each time i saw ginger, my penis started moving by itself. ginger got me so excited when i saw her at age 7. by age 12, she was the first woman i masturbated to.. ginger really was the perfect ideal woman. beautiful, sensual, soft and very feminin.. i loved ginger.. and she will always be my fav.. maryann for some reason didn't do it to me. i never even looked at her as sexy. she was a regular everyday girl.. but not ginger..

I watched it, not bad. The older shows were so much better than these newer ones. The actors today are horrible.

yeah shows back then were way way way better than today's shows. esp kids' shows, and sitcoms... those were great.. today's shows suck.. we were lucky to have had those shows growing up and not today's crap.
