But I also know behind the scenes how much effort goes into sorting this out to offer you guys. Even a little contest like my tennis ones for Betpoints from a book sponsor is a massive ordeal. It's just frustrating when I hear what else is being offered at comparable forums - ie nothing - and yet every single time the poker crew has something to bitch about. For such a small segment of SBR y'all sure bitch a helluva lot.

And that's despite getting the most perks of any other little group on here. This whole place is one big poker fest when BTP isn't on so if you don't play poker or don't know how, you're shit outta luck.

4. If a Non-Pro finishes in the top 50 for points won during the daily tournaments, he/she must become an SBR Pro within 48 hours to avoid forfeiture of their Grand Finale seat.

Good stuff SBR, dig the daily format! Have to say that a lot will hinge on the format for the final tourney though, and to a lesser extent the dailies themselves...50 people in the typical daily blind structure is going to degenerate into the same type of shovefest the last final turned into, and that's certainly not what you'd want for the dailies or the final. If you can extend the blind structures a little bit for the dailies and a lot for the finals (as in past championship-type events) it will make the format much better. If this isn't done, I expect a full refund of my entry fees for every tourney played in this series

Yup, it's a more top-heavy format, but worth noting that 1) it's more in line with the way almost every other poker tournament pays out (paying half the field is pretty much unique to SBR, and results in a lot of unjustifiably inflated egos) and 2) "saving" 7,000 points per day isn't that big a deal. It's actually a little more (12,500 from old format -3,000 from new format - estimated loss of 1,000 or so points in entry fees) = 8500 points "saved", over 65 tournament days = about 550,000 points. However, considering SBR has to shell out $10,500 in actual cash for it, there's not much savings if any; I'm sure they have a reliable percentage for points they tend to recoup via sportsbook, but all cash going out the door is gone...slim chance of winning something back from the 20% of winnings, but not guaranteed or even too likely. If there's any value to be had on SBR's end, it's mostly marketing I imagine.

As for the prize being worth more to US players...that is the bulk of players here for starters, but beyond that, having to pay $2k travel for a $10k ticket is still a pretty good deal, and a hell of an experience. I'm sure any 2nd place folks would be glad to trade with ya if you win

Yeah Doug, Great job handling the multiple tourney cheating fuks who played multiple dailies, didn't get DQ, still got to complete in the final, and was never addressed until a massive fuk'in outcry by respected honest posters here! Handled with real professionalism. Can't wait to see what fiasco will take place during this one.

Just curious... how long does someone stay in Vegas during the WSOP? Is it just done on one weekend?? multiple weekends? Or during weekdays?

If it's lengthy... you'd need to find a cheap hotel and eat $1.00 hotdogs or something daily make that dollar stretch.

SBR is planning to make some changes to ring games that should stimulate more activity. Hopefully there will be an announcement soon, but don't quote me on this, you never know when deadlines will be hit on time but fingers crossed mate!
