The SBR stiff list sure has grown over the past year. Kinda hard to post once you stiff a fellow member, even if he paid at this point he still be in the SBR Hall of Shame with his head hung low.

My source tells me that not only was he fired, but that a short time after that he was informed that he's no longer welcome to post here. Naturally they're not going to change his posting tag to Restricted User or Senior Member as that would only draw our attention, but I do believe Dan is staying away as a matter of principle about not going where he's not welcome.

After his termination he was posting lightly, but on a pretty much daily basis. That led me to believe that he truly had developed genuine affection for some posters here, and that he would continue to contribute as time permitted. The fact that he hasn't posted since mentioning the new "format" for running the forum and has expressed a willingness to return seems to fit the information I've received.

I offered not only a plausible and logical series of events for my scenario, but also some of BBD's own words to us. I would ask that if you call my post bullshit, that you make a similar offer of proof to support what you say. As this thread currently stands, all you've offered is some hyperbole interspersed with innuendo.

Posters love the speculation. I have seen many, many examples that I knew from the inside were not true. But guys run with them anyway. I have no personal involvement in this particular one but it looks exactly like the others.

As for the health insurance thing, if it's true and Dan has switched to modding at a forum that offers health insurance while this one doesn't, sounds like a good move on his part to me. I don't know why that would be hush-hush though. Just sounds like humdrum business.

If he left in protest over that but he didn't have anywhere to go, he's just an idiot.

I like that story Dave, it's short and it's pithy. Just the way I like them.

You left out one scenario though. If I wanted to be a smarty-pants, I could just call up someone you spent the day with. I could then find out that the only time you had change made was lunch, learn how much the lunch tab was and what you paid with, and then I would know the change you received and in what coins it was paid. I would then know the coins you could have in your hand, and also determine the probabilities for which coin is most likely. Then I would be justified in saying that you have a quarter in your hand, because I know that you were given $10.75 in change for lunch and the restaurant didn't have any fifty-cent pieces.

See where I'm going with this, boys?
