i was working on one system, tinkering with it, then i started on a different one. recently i have only been playing games that they both agree on. i back tested it a couple of weeks before the allstar break, and since the all star break and have been winning at an incredible rate. i usually only have 1 or 2 maybe 3 games a night. tonight for good or bad i've got 5 plays, plus 3 more that were almost there. so i'm playing 8 games. house money now, but i guess tonight i'll find out how good the system is. i'm just throwing it against the wall and seeing what sticks.
but philly was one of the primary picks, along with cin, cub, tex, sea. the other 3 are col, mil, stl. just about all of them are a bit chalky, but that's ok if they win.

I had switched to Lincecum, but then I saw the game was starting and they weren't locking it. So I switched back to Colorado, figuring I'd listen to the beginning and then make a decision.

After two batters, I decided to switch yet again, but they had locked it seconds before.

It was really close. I've had it happen a bunch of times where the lock time decided my pick. It did this time.

The chances of me getting both in are small, yet the chance is there.

I favor Lincecum a bit more than I favor the Rockies.

Very difficult decision, which is why I was flip-flopping.

I decided on Rockies over Cardinals, but Lincecum being the late game is what gave me fits.

That's not my primary strategy or anything. I already liked Arizona on the game. I know the Phillies are hot, but I just don't like Moyer much. I think Garland will get it done tonight. Plus the huge % on PHI, so I went with that. I liked the Yankees too.

^ ok. It sounded like you were overusing that, because I've known people to use that strategy. I used to do it occasionally ("I don't know what to pick, so I'll just take the <10% pick"), but I stopped. The ones with 95%+ actually hit at more than 50% rate, although it isn't by much.

Most of the people playing the game are clueless, so the 95+%s are not indications of locks, as they would be if the game somehow only included "sharps". However, you should also be careful not to assume that it must be an indication of the right pick necessarily being the other side.

Basically, they hit less than they should, but it's still more than 50% based on my observations.

If it helps you make any conclusions, the overall winning % on SftC is 51.5%, as of July 10.

Lincecum gets to face Maholm two or three times, instead of Felix facing a DH.

Pirates have been shut out last two games, striking out 8 times each game.

in Linececum's last 8 starts at home, he has had at least 8 Ks.

Felix has only 9+ Ks four times this season.

If you compare their starts head to head (one by one), Lincecum had more Ks 13 of 20 times, including the last four.


If the Mets/Rockies game hadn't been delayed by 20 minutes, it likely would've ended in time.


Definitely the best pick of the day, IMO, and one of the better ones you'll see in general.

i can't decide whether to put my W11 on Tim or the Rockies....Oliver Perez has been absolutely horrible since coming off the DL and the Rockies' bats have been hot.....but then again Tim will most likely put up 10 K's on the pirates.....

He made a poor decision, going to the bullpen when he had to know the Mets would pinch hit with Tatis.

Bringing in a lefty reliever was idiotic (especially since they had one already in there).
