Damn Gold, you need to change that avatar. It is seriously creeping me out. The wig, the pallor on that creepy white face, the leering eyes, and downturned mouth....and the scariest thing of all is the tennis court in the background...I keep imagining this guy and what kids must think of him....

      I am seriously creeped.

Fantasy leagues and pools are like throwing darts at dartboard. Join a contest or an internet site where no money is involved. Figure out what your talented at or find a pro handicapper who can at least narrow the margins. Don't bet real money until u can show yoursel on paper that you can keep up with the odds.

Mikeya2k, follow rule #1 and you will never be in this situation again:

                1. Money management. Bet less than 5% of your total current bankroll per bet. Be discipline.

                For example:
If your total bankroll is $2000.
                5% of your $2000 is $100.
If you lose your $100 bet, now you have $1900.
                5% of your $1900 is $95.
Now you bet $95 instead of $100 because of your total current bankroll has changed.
Bet like this and you can either slowly gain or slowly lose but can never be completely broke.

Good advice, but if a guy can't break a 50% even this bank systme won't help, cheers.

When a genuine addict finally quits something, it has little to do with talk. A gambling forum is not the place to talk about quitting. It's just a bunch of bullshit. What a product they are selling, packed with illusions of mental prowess. But I know they will win...it gets louder the farther you are from it. It's a complex high but just a high at the end of the day. I know for a fact that non-gamblers are consistently happier. Just listen to some of the loser responses in this forum. Do you want to be associated with that?

                          yes you are right jj

i have a lot of money.

but i changed my minimum to 100 dollars and i am going to be disciplined in the new year.

                          You guys dont understand

                          i am a compulsive ************.

go to buy one pair of shoes the day after christmas and walked out with 5 pairs.

my problem isnt picking the winners its the total blasphemy of money management that i have failed to learn a lesson time and time again?

How can I learn this lesson? I've lost it all before......built it back up.....to lose a lot again.

I have tracked my plays since summer and I am hitting 56.5% on all of my bets

but I am down a lot.

I will throw 100 on some games early in the week. few minutes before kickoff, the impulsivity and rush takes over. and next thing you know I have over 3 thousand dollars on a game between team totals 1halves etc.

how can i control this impulsivity?

psychologist wont prescribe me medicine yet, thinks i will abuse it.
