Should avatars be locked for at least 30 days?

i agree that i wouldn't recognize half the posters here who change their avatars. i would never have known Lv Herbie if it wasn't for that fat guy on a mini bike. and when paver posts with pool guy pic, i know it's him right away. if he put another avatar, i'd read the post and not know it's him.. same goes for everyone else. i look at avatar first, then read the post.. i hardly ever look at name of poster.

Nicky you claim you don't know 90% of the posters here anyways. Now I understand why that you have to use the avatar to recognize someone.

Anyways I always look at the name. Maybe it is because at work I have to have avatars blocked so people that walk by do not some of the pics.

More avatar restrictions? Why can't the question ever be about something nice for the posters? How about "Do you guy want your gay and lesbian avatar privileges back?" Or even, "Do you guy want to try animated avatars again for awhile and see how it goes?" Why is this new regime always stripping things from, instead of rewarding, their community for their tireless and seemingly thankless contributions?

jj, i knew you weren't a big avatar guy.. you never were.. i too find them silly. i've only had 3 avatars in my 10 yr career.. the habs, my original pic of nicky santoro when i first joined.. and this one because of a bet lost .. oh yea, and i had up my dream woman pamela anderson for 4 days.. that's it..

even you jj, you have the same one now for so long, and the only other one i can recall you with was an Okla sooners one i believe. that's it..
