#6Sorry, didn't see anyone else elaborating, didn't realize I was going to have to.
Without knowing the rules of this particular league, especially with regard to their keepers, my thoughts are that I would be more inclined to want to keep Votto next year as well over Lee. Not saying Lee is past his prime as he surely has several good years left at just 33 years of age entering this season. But Votto's keeper status should extend well beyond Lee's future.
Secondly, Votto is coming off a better season than Lee and playing in a more (consistently) hitter-friendly park than Lee.Comment -

#9Even without the asumption that he will progress as a 25 year old I would pick him over Lee. He is going to have a monster year.Comment -

In Lee you have a virtual lock for 90 runs, 20 HRs, 85 RBIs, and a .275 batting average if he stays healthy, respectable on its own and also fairly modest projections considering he has hit marks much higher in each category over the course of his career. Yes Votto has the more hitter friendly park, but I'd argue Lee has a better supporting cast, especially if Soriano stays healthy this year.
Votto definitely has the upside and the youth, but I personally side with the player that has proven year in year out that he can go 150+ games and give me 90 / 20 / 90 / .280 over a kid I've only seen one full season out of.
I am assuming of course this is NOT a keeper league... if it is, we are in complete agreeance that Votto is the pick.Comment -

Thought you might say it was because he was Canadian. I'll take a Canadian over a Cubs player as wellComment -
