I have a mild case of obsessive compulsive personality disorder (OCPD), which leads me to liking things to be neat and tidy and things to be in a certain order. If I put something down on a table, it can't be crooked or it'll bug the hell out of me, so I put it down in some aesthetically pleasing manner. All of my bills in my wallet have to be in order and facing the same way, etc.
Fortunately I only have a mild case, it isn't full blown to the point where other people's messes bother me; but I like to have my space clean. I've never lived on my own, have lived at home and with roommates in college, so my space was always tidy but the house/dorm room as a whole had some mess/clutter to it.
Now, it is only me in the apartment. And since I have finally settled in and unpacked everything, after yesterday, my entire apartment is officially spotless. Absolutely nothing is out of place. No clutter, no mail, no magazine lying around, no empty glass, the place is immaculate.
Of course I like it that way, but I don't think I've ever seen an entire apartment this clean before. From an outsider perspective, is there such a thing as too clean? Would lack of innocent clutter here or there seem weird?
