even if alabama wins today, they could lose the sec championship game and no sec will be represented in the playoffs.

#8sec is going downhill...acc whooped on them today, they are risking missing out on the playoff...and they have big 12 castoff mizzou playing for the sec championship 2 yrs in a row.
Sec west is beastly and beats up on each other but the east is mediocre. In need of a realignment if you ask meComment -

#9Down year for SEC and especially the SEC East....They'll be back though, too much money, prestige, and power in the best part of the country for recruiting

#10I still think the sec champ if they come from the west will make the playoff with 2 losses. Things can get even crazier depending on what happens in the conference championship games. After all Baylor will probably win the big 12 but tcu will still remain higher ranked which is really going to penetrate with things if a couple faves lose in their title games.
This games far from over though.Comment -

#12auburn was dead in the water and they are dominating the stats in this game right now, supposedly the committee looks at stuff like that. alabama should be out if they lose here, at least on the outside looking in, miss st was in with a win today i thought and shit the bed.Comment -

#13The playoff would be a joke with a 2 loss SEC team, just go back to BCS or polls if it's a "better team" subjective, unproveable bullsh1t standard and not based on performance when it matters, i.e. winning.Comment -

#16Guys calm down. Alabama is going to win tonight and beat Mizzou.
Some of the arguments are moronic. SEC has the most ranked teams of any division right now. 8 teams.Comment -

#20So you think Baylor is jumping two teams with one win? Ohio State & TCU? I don't see that. They'd have to win by an obscene amount to make up for their near choke job tonight IMO. And that might only help them to sneak past Ohio State.Comment -

#28It’s not a question of UC wanting to join the B12, it’s the fact they’ve not been invited. They’d go in a heartbeat, just as they would have if the could have convinced the ACC to take them.
What casual fans outside the Tri-State area don’t understand is Cincinnati is not a college football town. UC can’t fill a stadium that seats a little better than 35k, despite the fact high school football in Cincinnati is huge and produces great talent. Trying to get a geographical rival for WVU makes sense, as does wanting to open Ohio recruiting to the B12. Not sure having to take a team with at best minimal fan support is worth what you have to gain if you’re the B12, however.Comment -
