Discussion About (3) Florida State -2 At Miami On Saturday - Line Movement

I said a few weeks ago in Blazers thread I think it was. This is the game that had me worried before the season and even more so now!Canes 2 weeks to prepare! Not sure what FSU is doing these days on Defense and yes they have lost 12 starters last 2 years to the NFL, so youth ( no Senior Starters)could be the reasoning here. But really it might be they miss Benjamin and Freeman more on the offense than most expected. I am just pissed I didn't grab the Canes + pts preseason line that was double digits. I have made a good bit with the Clemson and ND games with the nice dog spreads against Fsu. No play for me here!

Here's what I don't understand...

Thursday night football... previous week or so... we had Florida State At Louisville... the line opened at Florida State -6 and the line (APPARENTLY) was beat down to Florida State -3.5 at around game time.

Now... why was the public beating the line down?

1. They thought Petrino would figure out Florida State's game plan?
2. Louisville Home Defense?
3. Florida State just bound to lose?

What was it?

When Louisville was up 21-0 was it just a mirage?

Whatever it was.... all that matters is the final score. Florida State winning by double digits.

I just don't understand the Public's Hate towards Florida State? Florida State is just one sound football team. No matter how much you hate Winston... the guy comes through... on the collegiate level. No telling what he will do in the pros. He exclusively understands the Florida State system... and you can't bring him down. If Louisville couldn't... what makes you think Miami and Al Golden can? Because Golden stresses defense? Hmmmm.... not so sure.

As we approach game time on Saturday... the line is already indicating the same damn thing as the Louisville game. The public already on Miami. Why??? I don't trust Miami's QB one bit... not one bit. Florida State's defense should eat him up. It's a 4 Qtr game.... not 1 half.

The line opened at some locations -2 and -2.5 Florida State. The line is now Florida State -1.5 at some locations. What does this indicate? I have a feeling this game will be a PK at game time. And for anyone who wants to hit a home run.... or your bankroll is kinda low... and you want to take a shot and hammer 1 game. You should hammer this game. If the line keeps tilting towards PK... Florida State is the play of the year.

I'd like to hear other posters viewpoints on this. Let's face it... Florida State will go undefeated in the regular season... then they will lose in one of the playoff games. If Florida State happens to lose against Miami.... there's no way they would be able to be in the Top 4 and in the playoffs. When you are ranked #3 and lose to an unranked team.... you're lucky to be in the Top 7-10 if that. So with this in mind... Florida State's season would BE OVER. And.... well... what would the media talk about if Florida State is out of the picture? I just don't see this happening.

Again, I'd like to hear other posters perspectives on the line movement and feelings on this game... and/or what will happen scenario wise. Line goes to PK... Florida State is the play of the century. I still can't believe the PUBLIC HATES Florida State like they do... Are they that stupid?

I think the best bet is Miami 1rst half plus whatever. Jameis has repeatedly dug his team out of the hole in the second half, and like he acknowledged, they like to get behind so they can play better in the last quarter. Whether or not they can pull off another miracle remains to be seen, but it looks like another one of those games that will require Winston to pull another Superman stunt, which he will given the chance, he is incredible under pressure.

But I believe eventually the refs are going to burn Florida St. this year on a play that may cost them their season. It may happen Saturday.

Damn missed this thread, wouldn't have unloaded on FSU but I'm just a damn square. Was between Georgia and FSU, knew in the gut that Georgia at home was the better play.
