#4They certainly have the experience and know how to play in the playoffs...
Don't think they'd get by the Wings in the 1st round, but if they did, San Jose would be beatable, considering both of your recent playoff histories.
You gotta focus on making the playoffs first thoughComment -

#6once in your in the post season in NHL, anyone but anyone can win the cup, no joke.. it's up for grabs. playoffs is a totally new season as you've seen in the past many times.
but to answer your question, NO.... they can't win the cup, because the Habs are winning the cup and there can only be 1 stanley cup winner.Comment -

#10i guess none of you saw the habs looking like the 77 habs yesterday. gainey scared them and now they are playing like champions. if they play like yesterday the rest of the way, might as well just hand us the cup.
we will win the cup.. watch and see. best habs team since 1977..

#13They can't beat San Jose or Detroit, so no. If they could get to sixth they would have a chance against Calgary.Comment -

#21anaheim have been on the right side of 1 goal games the past few weeks. there top line is doing alot of the work right now that is why they are winning games. But come playoff time they will need more than one line to go to war. Also they have been alternating gigure and hiller the past few games and it seems to me that hiller has taken over the #1 duties.Comment -

Sounds very similar to what people were saying a few years ago...

#34A #8 team has beaten the #1 team seven times since 1994.
2006 - Edmonton Oilers defeated Detroit Red Wings 4-2. (lost Stanley Cup)
2002 - Montreal over Boston
2000 - San Jose over St. Louis
1999 - Pittsburgh over New Jersey
1998 - Ottawa over New Jersey
1995 - Rangers over Quebec
1994 - San Jose over Detroit
So once since 1994 has a #8 seed reached the Finals, and they lost.
