I got the promotion flier in the mail but something tells me that since magma filed for bankruptcy reorganization 2 weeks ago that they are cash starved and will give the promotion to anyone. They own Santa Anita and a couple other tracks besides the american based OTB xpressbet.

You deposit $50 in your account, play all $1 or $2 show bets on favorites depending on the track, you make almost all of your $50 back and the next day you turn into the mad bomber playing lots of $1 and $2 exotics that pay mega bucks.

It's no use to bet straight win bets on the free $50 because you don't get to keep the stake on winning bets.If you win a nice chunk of money on the free $50 you can't withdraw it for 60 days. You can withdraw the winnings from your $50 deposit.Anyone try this promotion?

Perhaps the most ignorant post in history. So an OTB is now offering the equivalent of casino promo chips? Really? And which OTB will take a $1 WPS bet? Based on what you stated, a $2 show bet could result in a $1.90 loss on a winning bet? This is not an offshore book, but one whose wagers are put into the mutuel pool, so any winning wager returns the stake. There is not a racing jurisdiction in America that would allow this.

Xpressbet is a good company. Used them about 4 years ago with no problem. If they are offering a free play, I would jump on it.

The point is, it is NOT a "freeplay". That would make Xpressbet a bookie, which is illegal. The $50 is cash with time restrictions.
