wow Goodell so stupid if he did lie about this. i would have had no problem with him originally saying something like, "everyone obviously knew he knocked out his fiancee (from the first video) its unacceptable and the 2 game suspension was not enough in hindsight. however i am a NFL commissioner and not a judge in the judicial system, so i was making a decision that would be best for the NFL as a game. i did not want to get rid of a good player. that being said with the public reaction from the latest video i have no other choice but to suspend indefinitely ray rice. i apologize for the mistakes i have made in this situation." one news conference, there is nothing else to talk about after that, the media has nothing to feed on, the public quickly forgets.
