If we played our absolute best baseball players, instead of starting washed up Roy Oswalt and batting Adam Dunn in the cleanup position, USA would be heavy favorites to win this every year.

Just imagine if Lincecum would have started tonight and Ryan Howard batted cleanup instead of Dunn. These are just 2 examples. Curtis Granderson? Brian Roberts?

I cannot believe we have to dig that deep into our national arsenal of baseball players for the biggest and most important baseball event in the world. USA invented baseball. We have by far the best players. They need to have some pride and play for their home country. Its beyond rediculous.
