Pico, you asked about how many games needed to win. Like other sports, they have to hold off teams trailing them. They're only one point up on the Panthers, so if the Panthers win every game, so must the Habs (don't know if they play each other). Top eight in each conference get in (three division winners and the best of the rest.

Florida has lost 6of 8and has not taken advantage of Montreal's fall like pit,nyr and car has. holding onto Bouwmeester doesn't look good now. Buffalo are heartless without ryan miller. He was expected to miss 8-12games. if theses estimates are correct he will be back on Wednesday, but the sabers still have him listed as out indefinitely. Ottawa has roared back into the playoff picture with an 9-1 run and are 7pts from playoff spot. They will come short as most of theses wins came at home and now will play most of games in the road. As for Montreal i don't think they can sink any lower. They called up sergei kosyn and should be getting d-man bouillon this week. i see them winning 3 of their next 5 games. The way Florida has been playing and Ryan millers health issues for buffalo, Montreal will only need 4 to 5 wins to get in.

I think if they get 11pts in their next 10 games that should be enough so any combination of Wins and OTL's to do it.
