why players shoot under 50% from the line?

all these guys do is play ball 12 months a year, and still
a few clowns shoot under 50% from the line..mind boggling.

And no, "they have big hands, so the ball feels like a soft ball"
doesn't hold any water.....

This subject used to drive Rick Barry nuts, he used to go on and on about it on his radio show. Wanted all the low % free throwers to shoot underhanded. Finally, his show got cancelled....

pisses me off... I can shoot better then 4 out of every 5 college players and I barely picked up a ball for ten years till january,....
