Didn't he see his own movie 'What Dreams May Come'?

Shouldn't he know where he's going now?

Very sad. I was a big fan of his.

Dead Poets Society has always been one of my very favorite movies of all time. It meant a lot to me when I was growing up.

              Oh Captain, my Captain.

RIP Robin. You will be missed.

Like many other people have already said... I didn't find him to be that funny but I loved him in more serious roles. Dead Poets Society is my favorite movie of all time. RIP Captain.

Also... not many people know this but Apple did a commercial for their Ipad Air that was directly from Dead Poets Society. This is Robin Williams speaking in this commercial below.

Someone made a good point about Williams not being funny after he stopped doing cocaine. Bottom line is he was a solid actor and somewhat funny comic. The world is a sadder place without him.

Solid list. Awakenings is a great movie that is really underrated. Another Robin Williams movie I like although not particularly serious is Cadillac Man.
The World According to Garp is also good.

Depression makes it more likely that you'll have issues with addiction. Depression can be really nasty.

Thought he was funny. But always felt the drugs helped him. Pull up the Inside The Actors Studio episode with him. It's pretty good. He's sober and goes into a run of physical unscripted humor. Guy had major talent.

On June 4, 1978, Robin Williams married his first wife, Valerie Velardi. They had one child, Zachary Pym (Zak) (born April 11, 1983). During Williams's first marriage, he was involved in an extramarital relationship with Michelle Tish Carter, a cocktail waitress whom he met in 1984. She sued him in 1986, claiming that he did not tell her he was infected with the herpes simplex virus before he embarked on a sexual relationship with her in the mid-1980s, during which, she said, he transmitted the virus to her. The case was settled out of court. Williams and Velardi divorced in 1988.[50][51]
On April 30, 1989, he married Marsha Garces, his son's nanny, who was several months pregnant with his child. They had two children, Zelda Rae (born July 31, 1989) and Cody Alan (born November 25, 1991). In March 2008, Garces filed for divorce from Williams, citing irreconcilable differences.[51][52]
Williams married his third wife, graphic designer Susan Schneider, on October 23, 2011, in St. Helena, California.[53] Their residence was Williams's house in Sea Cliff, a neighborhood in San Francisco, California.[51][54][55]
