Not sure ankle is worse. Depends how "clean" the break is. This kind of injury hasn't happened that often, but when it has the recovery has been pretty iffy.

you shouldn't be so cavalier about this. again, the only priority right now is to save his leg - that's the only goal of the trauma surgeons. any potential future as an "athlete" isn't even on the discussion list right now and isn't of any concern to anyone involved.

I broke my tibia a couple yeas ago. Took pics of the bone out of the skin, pretty sick. Didn't go through the therapy 100% like I should have! now have hard time playing racquetball like I used to.
