Shows a lot of strength. It's like the sell off in late Jan, a lot of smart people said that was the supposed "correction" everyone had been predicting but the investors didn't let it actually cross 10% so it wasn't technically. But, in my opinion that is directly related to the fact the majority of the money in the market is not from retail investors. Fact is income is down and people are gun shy from the recent collapses so they are not going to invest.

There's free government money out there. The US, just like the Chinese do, is ARTIFICIALLY affecting the market and the dollar. When they pull crap like this there is a price to pay. That's one of the reasons to see big money and big corporations loving the left right now.

Glad a lot of folks here are enjoying seeing their portfolios rocket up. It will be useless when you retire if a loaf of bread costs $20.

Exactly. The market is on a fake high because the $$$$$ is being devalued. Thats why we have $4 gas.
Similarly the unemployment rate is artifically reported low because they dont count the people that have given up looking for a job.

The US economy is not in good shape at all. You cant run trade deficits in conjunction with this many people out of work or not productive. Deficit spending eventually comes home to roost. You cant print money and sell bonds to China forever.

Do yourself a favor and google plunge protection team. They play a huge role in the market. What's classified as a plunge is up to their discretion and I can tell you, it's not much. They basically have carte Blanche with as much money as they need for the market.
It's all propped up. But like we say here, if it's a rig job, just be on the right side.
