Trout needs to stop juicing. Thick ass neck on the guy. Let me guess... you get that kind of neck and speed by eating hamburgers right?

Cabrera and it isn't even close....in fact there would be a great arguement for Miggy being better. Who would I want now considering age and everything? Trout, of course......but Miguel is one hell of a hitter.

There really isn't one thing Miguel Cabrera does better than Mike Trout.

Ummmmmm......huh? I love Trout, but given them both as 21 year olds I would take Miguel in a heartbeat. He drives in runs and he plays every game. Trout is a better defender I will give him that, with better speed, but it isn't tough to find a speedy little donkey to play CF and bat 9th who can cover the same amount of ground.
Cabrera has better OPS and an average 10 points higher, he played on some crappy teams in Miami and didn't play in a ballpark like the Angels do. He didn't have the protection that Trout has either.....like almost never.....
ALSO, Trouts speed is diminishing. This year as a 22 year old Trout will have 15 SBs and by the time he is 26 he will be stealing less than I would be. He is carrying a ton of weight and that will have an effect for sure.
If you put Miguel on this Angels team at 20 years old he would have numbers that would crush Trout.
Anyway....those two guys are the best positional players in MLB and it is kind of a moot point....both are awesome, but it isn't THAT clear cut.

I'm talking about the best player today. If we were talking about 10 years ago I would take Albert Pujols. Mike Trout is ahead of Miguel Cabrera in just about every stat this season.
And his speed isn't diminishing, they just don't like him running much. No idea why, but the Angels do have a big meatball for a manager.

And plays in Colorado and has a tough time staying healthy.
Better value as a positional player, but I am man not so sure his numbers would be totally comparable. What are his lifetime splits? If they are split 52-48 (like the average player) then I would say he was in the discussion if he played 155 games per year.

Ok, then the answer to your question is Miguel Cabrera, but it is close.

He's pulling a Bo Jackson this year. Playing B-Ball and Wide Receiver for the Browns.
