I'd love to know what the future has in store for us. I don't really understand this bill and all the loopholes etc.

What I would like to know is what immediate and long term changes should we be expecting? Details would be nice..

There will be bumps along the way but online gaming will be little changed one year from now. Looking back, most thought that when **** and ********** stopped allowing deposits in late 2002 that it was all over. Then pretty much the entire gaming community switched to Paypal. One year later they pulled the plug and again it was the end, or was it?

The internet is too fluid for prohibition to work. Remember it is not illegal to place a bet on line in most areas. And the companies providing the infrastructure are located in jurisdictions where their activity is legal. Hence; the market will adjust and move forward as it has done many times.

SBR I think your right, it will just take an adjustment, I think the legit books like Bet Jamaica, TheGreek, BoDog, and Pinnacle all will find a way to get funds into their accounts from Americans somehow. I think for one is a person to person transaction through MoneyGram or Western Union is a way for one example. I think the government is just trying to go after these terrible books that don't pay people back like BetUs for one and then there is the ones that get weeded out by this then they will put a consideration of regulating companies like the UK and Australia does it but that will happen if the Democrats get into the Senate and the House which is a big possiblity because of this. From what I understand there is an awful lot of poker players that play online that are very upset at this and I think that is rightfully so. I think there will be some type of regulation when they find out that this isn't going to work and it might be with the US owned companies. The only problem with it is the age issue and I think they would have probably would have done this already.

Maybe some things will change for good too, like shit books being forced out and better ones poping up.
Also i could imagine that the bookies will try to serve you (even) better.

I think there will be about 5 books only taking bets from Americans

This is going to get very ugly as the USA is really going after this
