Socialism? We've had that for 75 years already, since FDR & the New Deal. It makes me laugh when someone talks about socialism, as if it's something brand new coming around.

What about the national debt? That's the bigger problem. But, that's all I heard about during the Reagan years when I was growing up. It's to the point, now, that I'm numb when I hear it anymore. It's lost all meaning to me.

Hyperinflation will come and with lowering home prices the classes will become seperated by a greater majority, so get ready to come up or get pushed down. Personally I will try my best to stay on top. In some language in asia i forget what it is, the word for crisis and opportunity are the same. Pavyracer, socialists like yourself were whining incessantly for 8 straight years when President Bush was driving up our country's deficit. Since Obama is putting Bush to shame in the spending department, you're going to have to deal with the other side and their criticisms.

I have a friend who has been working at a plant in Michigan for 2 years. He is laid off for about a week every 2 months or so. He has a brutal job and has to work very hard for the little money he makes. On weeks when he is laid off, he makes only $50 less than weeks when he has to work the job he hates. He loves when he gets a call and the boss man tells him not to bother showing up for a week. LOL! Some aspects of America have been socialist for some time now. Folks are just beginning to realize it.

The only ones that maybe can be considered outside the scope of socialism are the survivalists living in the woods outside civilization without using public roads or electricity or anything else the socialists have built up over time into what we now consider modern society.
