The contact is the biggest issue. Very difficult to get in touch with a celeb without coming off as stalker-ish.

I do indeed have a girlfriend back in Cali. If I were scheming on how to pick up a random cute girl here in Texas, that would be one thing. I think pining over a celebrity is a lot less realistic .
