Guys don't dominate soccer games....but teams dominate possession because of their offensive strength...an example might be Real Madrid with Ronaldo, Bales, etc. have so many stars they dominate possession of the ball on their half of the pitch and a smaller side such as Getafe can do nothing but play defense and it looks like a hockey power play for the entire match. Now one guy like Ronaldo doesn't "dominate" the entire pitch like you are describing because Real has such a strong group of players so it truly hard to "dominate" in a soccer match because the defense collapse's into the box and other than a penalty kick you've normally have someone nearby messing with you
