Fine he's mentally weak.....And he's still one of the best ever at 29

#112I enjoy watching great players play. I enjoy watching Lebron play but remember Lebron himself created the hype machine proclaiming himself King before he had a crown. He even had "Chosen 1" tattooed on his arm. The media has tried to spin this into an argument that can't be won either way but draws hits on their websites.
Young kids throw out Lebron's name as the greatest because he's all they know. Old school folks get pissed off because they remember the other greats. Young guys didn't see Jordan or Wilt or Elgin Baylor or Bill Russell or Magic or Bird. Young guys don't know how Magic and Bird saved the NBA, they don't remember how Jordan took the game internationally, they definitely don't know how half the entire world have owned a pair of Air Jordan's.
Although I didn't see Baylor, Russell or Wilt, I can appreciate them all.

#116One thing that separates Jordan from all the rest is how he use to go up and over guys in traffic. Outside of Shaq and Wilt, I've never seen a guy that could just get in the paint and power over guys. Look at this video snippet. I've never seen Lebron do half of these dunks in the game. He usually has to be wide open. Very rarely does he go over guys (except on alley oops). Jordan would go over you and stuff the ball while you were guarding him. It was much more contact back in those days but he would just play through it.

#118Lebron Fans: Why is it that Lebron never has talent around him? What does he need? Carmelo, Love, and Dirk? How much talent do you need to give this guy to win. If you Replaced Wade Bosh and James with Duncan Parker Ginobli and Leonard, you guys would probably be telling me that that lebron doesn't have enough players around him.Comment -

You can replace Lebron with anyone in history and the result is the same
Again....Lebron played very well in the finals and his team got crushed.....What does that tell you? He has no heart for some people

#129Jordan was on teams that allowed him to flourish because he had guys around him that were stalwarts and did the little things right that win basketball games.... defense, rebounding, timely buckets etc. Jordan really wasn't asked to guard the opponent's best player because that assignment was usually given to Scottie Pippen, who was one of the best, most versatile defenders ever.
Lebron doesn't have that luxury. If a guy on the other team proves unstoppable, Lebron inevitably draws that as his primary defensive responsibility. Oh and by the way, could you go out there and clean up the glass and drop 30 while you're at it? It's a lot to ask of one guy. Basketball is a TEAM sport. No matter how you spin it, one guy cannot go out and defeat five. Did anybody bother to chip in for the Heat besides Lebron? Bosh is far too finesse and Wade was an absolute nightmare this series. They have zero presence in the paint.
The Heat are not a good team. If you remove James, this hodgepodge roster of has-beens probably doesn't make the playoffs. They were good enough to get two rings when Wade and Chalmers actually had a pulse, but this team was exposed by a more talented, deeper, better coached Spurs squad. Does anybody really think Jordan in James's place would have yielded a different result? Nonsense.... Jordan would have been just jacking up shots while facing double and triple teams. And Jordan's presence would have done nothing to shore up the shitty defense that plagued the Heat all series.

#131The best opponent given to Pippen is a lie that keeps getting repeated. It was fairly even and depended upon the opponent. If it was the last play, it also went to Jordan. In one year Pippen only played 44 games and they were 62-20.Originally posted by Eddy MunnyJordan was on teams that allowed him to flourish because he had guys around him that were stalwarts and did the little things right that win basketball games.... defense, rebounding, timely buckets etc. Jordan really wasn't asked to guard the opponent's best player because that assignment was usually given to Scottie Pippen, who was one of the best, most versatile defenders ever.
