Any reasoning for mexico to qualify? I think people are over estimating mexico based on past performances, performed awful in concacaf qualifying and their best player refuses to play for the national team

They've been playing well recently, and have the advantage of being used to a climate similar to Brazil. Don't think Croatia or Cameroon have a chance to qualify

I dont think cameroon has a chance, but in euro 2012 I thought croatia was quite possibly the third best team at the tournament, at worst the 4th best, and they have a top 5 midfield at the WC, but only time will tell

I'm starting to think Germany is going to win the cup. They are only 5 to 1 IMO b/c of the tough group they are in. If they were in an easy group like Argentina and Brazil they would probably be 3 to 1.

Sitting players b/c of injury, having a quiet camp, sleep walking thru a friendly not showing any tricks...

They are also a popular pick to get upset b/c facing Ronaldo, USA and Ghana.

IMO Reus and Gotze are going to be the difference. Germany has a lot of depth and they have the continuity of playing together at Bayern Munich. These guys are a true team.

The humidity is the bigger problem,Italy and Germany both have to all their group games in the North which puts them at a big disadvantage.Italy are especially screwed because they have to play two of these games at 1pm when it will be unbelievably hot.

Edit:Just looking at the fixtures,Germany also play at 1pm in Salvador and Recife.

Brazil plays their first game on Sao Paulo, it's currently 66F there. Whoever is playing on the south of the country might experience temperatures as low as 50ish in late afternoons. The proble is really the humidity which is high in most of the cities.

Most brazilian players play in europe but you gotta remember they are used to playing since they were children at 90F and shit, argentinians as well so it is indeed a small advantage.
