Sandiego State and St Mary's got snub. St Mary's is a very good team with a healthy Pat Mills, damn big Conference bias. Maryland is opportunistic to play against good teams that aren't bringing their best to the conference tourney.

The NIT should be fairly entertaining...
Only 4 mid majors got in from the field. That number keeps getting smaller every year and the small schools have zero chance.

I agree that San Diego State and especially St. Mary's got the bigtime snub this year. I cant believe St. Mary's didnt get an at large.

It's all about the money guys. With the bad economy they chose big name schools so they can sell the pricey tickets to a bigger fan base. Teams like Creighton and St. Mary's have no traveling fans and it would have been an economic disaster if they advanced in later rounds.
