My Parents know I'm a gambler....I am thinking very strongly now to go to my friends dad's to stop gambling.

He is a counsler and deals w/ this shit daily....he's great friend of mine and he can easily help me quit

If you think gamblers have problems, you should work on a painting crew. I used to paint houses, I had to pick my boss up everyday because he had no license because of DUI. Everyday driving to the job site, my boss would wonder who show up for work. We had guys get busted for buying and selling coke, soliciting a hooker, credit card fraud, assault, and robbery. I know gamblers are fvcked up people, but painters might be worse. ANd I have never met a sober painter in my life.

the guy that painted for me was and is an alcoholic! painted the whole thing (60'-20' half room, half porch) for $350.. and drank everyday.. 8am til 5pm on the job..

Truer words were never spoken, Tully. When I kicked my meth habit, I had to get a few manual labor jobs to keep my mind off cooking. First I tried concrete, and my knees decided that was a bad idea after the first two weeks. Then I tried joining a roofing crew but they were all crackheads so I just ended up using again.

I finished my stint in the building trades as a painter and I absolutely loved it. We were always drinking, taking smoke breaks every half hour, and puffing insane amounts of reefer. It was hanging out with those degenerate painters that got me clean. The boss worked with us, and he never cared if we were a little late showing up so long as we handed him a fat joint when we got there. If I ever had to work for a living again I'd go back to painting. In fact, it was one of the dudes on the crew that referred me to my first offshore book.
