Chasing Steam?

I am still pretty new to all of this but I am trying to learn all I can from you guys. I see and hear the phrase "chasing steam" alot and was wondering what exactly does this mean? Apparently it is something I don't want to do.

Steam Chasing: Betting a side that is poised to move due to others betting the same side. If you do it right you can hopefully beat the closing number, which is key to your long term success.

Good explanation. Basically you try to beat a book to the move, after you saw a line change at places where it means something (Pinny, Cris, Greek etc.).
