thanks for the jinx. what ways did you cap it in a nutshell that you spent up to 5am doing?

First i looked at how both pitchers have been pitching lately. (Adv. Wainwright) Then i checked how both teams have been scoring lately. (Adv. Cards 4.8 runs per game average over last 5 games to 4.0 runs for Cubs). I checked previous matchups between teams since last season. (Cards Adv in wins). I looked at how both pitchers played against the other team since last season. (Adv. Wainwright). I looked at totals and saw that when either Wainwright or Wood were pitching the game was under 8 every time but twice, however one of those two times was when they pitched against each other (kind of made me back off my under theory, combined with the wind blowing out) In their last game the Cubs scored 9 runs and won the final game of the series against the Reds. I even checked a trend to see what happens the next game after the Cubs score 8 or more runs and win the final game of a series, and they usually score under 4 runs and lose the first game of the next series. (I'm guessing they have let down games after big wins in final games of series)

I'm going with the Cards.

It's not "fixed." The dude isn't a robot. He's already been hit pretty hard by the Cubs once this season. Some pitchers just don't match up well with given lineups for whatever reason. Cardinals have been sub-par defensively and very mediocre overall this season. No real reason to back them at -165 on the road vs. anyone.
