The odds are still very low to have your information compromised

At times there are leaks like this so companies can profit from it

    Good read

This is not a breach of a chain like target. This is a breach of the infrastructure of the internet. Take it seriously.

Any sites where you have sensitive info they need to update themselves first. It's the openssl they use that's the problem. The major sites should be ok by now. Get your passwords changed anywhere you could get hurt financially.

I'm using Lastpass.com to check if certain sites have updated and patched the problem. Looks like twitter has patched, facebook not yet and Yahoo has patched. make sure the certificate has been updated or changing password likely pointless. I'm not an expert nor do I work i this field but Madison is not kidding guys.

We have been able to access player accounts at at least one sportsbook. They have since fixed the issue.

Lucky the guy who wrote the code is German and not American or the internet would be screaming about it being a govt plot.

So we should change passwords at all our sportsbook accounts, e-wallet accounts?

The troublesome part is that changing your password is useless until the hosts of the websites apply the patch. And now they are saying routers and switches.

This is one time it may pay to be a broke dikk.

We compiled a list of the top 100 sites across the Web, and checked to see if the Heartbleed bug was patched.

This the best I've seen to date to determine who is patched.

This is available to check sites. Can't vouch for it's accuracy.
