Going to the offtrack is just strictly business. No comparison between going to an OTB and going to the races live. You will have a much better time if you go on a summer weekend to live racing.

A day at Arlington is a day in heaven, that place is a palace. Don't waste your time at Hawthorne Archie.

Churchill Downs is a worthy track to visit!

Was at Hawthorne once. I think you could see Sportsman's Park right
next door. Bet on a Canterbury horse and hit a nice exacta. Arlington
                  was the much the best.

AP was sweet when we went there a few years back. The workers were friendly and polite instead of the rude hens had to deal with lately.

Churchill is nice as well but already did few Derby and BC (now WCD) Days and will go there when it's not a "big" day.

stay away from CD on derby day, what a disaster, plus you can only bet on the CD races

Doesn't surprise me the CBY horse did well at HAW - the same could be said if reversed as the tracks were similar (surface mixture, depth, etc.).

Yea, but you were "there". Talk about a way to "push" the Mint Juleps.

KEE was really nice before they put that rug down. A friend of the family did well with the rolling Pick 3's hitting on average 4 a day playing anywhere from 1 to 6 horses a race. That sob was good! That is, until the change now he's just average. It was a great run with him that week.

The track is not fun and games. The majority of guys that go there bet with scared money so they are very serious. It is very intense and real compulsive gamblers go there.
