      Lets hope for the best,, I think its good for the industry that they payback customers. It sets a bad example when books go under and keep money.

        I dont want to be a doubter but sources here in Costa Rica claim they have very little cash and what they have they will save for attorney fees for the onslaught of shareholder lawsuits and more criminal charges, possibly from the UK this time.

        If you think about it, it doesnt make a bit of sense to say they will pay in 75 days. Thats an ole Roberto/Bet4aces trick. They will stall and buy time. If they escape without any shareholder suits and if they win their case against the US, there might be something leftover. Thats quite a few "ifs".

            John, while I hate to admit it, you're post makes sense. I've written off the 5k I had there. If I ever receive anything from them, I'll consider it a bonus.

                Sounds similar to other BOS clerk lines like:

                You will be paid in five weeks.

                You will be paid as soon as DOJ say is ok.

                You will be paid half your amount soon and the rest later.

                I don't think they have a clue they make this shit up or else whoever is calling the shots comes up with a new line each day.

                      I believe that is the best way to look at it. I've taken the same approach.

                            I have a minimal balance there, but I'd still like my money. Funny how on the website the customers putting up actual money are the last to get paid. But, we've been through this already, I know. Just venting, I guess.

                            The Directors have considered the impact of this conclusion and now intend that the Company should;

                            1. cease its operations in Costa Rica and Antigua as soon as practicable;
                            2. pay any liabilities to staff and creditors in an orderly manner; and;
                            3. repay balances due to US customers in an orderly manner.

                              That's the way of the world, though. Just like shareholders are at the bottom of the pile when a company goes up.

                                No it's not. Being a shareholder is nothing like being a customer.

                                What if I had an order for merchandise from Amazon.com or whatever and they suddenly close their doors for business, etc. Where's my money? It better not be going to some shareholder. That's theft. At least the shareholder knows that the stock may go up or down. A customer has an understanding the money is in exchange for merchandise or service. A breach of that contract is greater than some expectation of profit by a shareholder.

                                  I'm not sure you understood my point. I'm even unsurer whether you understand how a business works.

                                  If you placed an order at Amazon and the company went bust after you paid and before the item was despatched then you're shit out of luck - your money is gone. Of course, you may have some credit card protection if it exists in the USA or some company may buy Amazon out and despatch the goods out of goodwill - but that's not guaranteed

                                  The shareholders will likely end up being left with pretty much nothing after all the money has been syphoned off wherever it's going.

                                  As a customer, you should also understand that placing $xK at the hands of an offshore bookmaker comes with a degree of risk. And sometimes your luck runs out.

                                      Selling BOS balances at 5 cents on the dollar would be a prudent move.

                                      These clowns will not pay anyone.

                                      They are likely broke.

                                      If they are not broke, but out of business, they have no incentive to pay. The UK has no interest in getting involved. The UK government has taken enough shit for not helping DC. No way they pile on.
