#37if you a have a company that allows people to scoop up almost all tickets ahead of time, than you gotta blame them for that...not the guy who knows how to legally make money off of a simple demandComment -

#38im with rocket
id be willing to bet that teams and venues sell to themselves and resell under other names because it would look bad for them to jack prices up...but theres a lot more demand for some teams/events than what they can charge
why are some tickets never available but they end up getting scalped?Comment -

#398 home games in the NFL. There are Packers fans that sign up their kids for season tickets and their kids' great grandchildren may have a shot at them. Go to a big college and tuition paying students have to camp out for a weekend to get student tickets. Not everything is easy no matter how much time you have.Comment -

#41What's even worse is teams raising the prices for "select" games that feature marquee teams, i.e. teams from New York, Boston, Chicago, etc. You see this sh*t in baseball and hockey. Because of all the transplants scattered around the country teams know they can command a higher price. F*kers sure don't lower prices when the Marlins are in town.Comment -

#46There is a growing trend in sports of seats being empty and you're going to see it rise
Many people/fans are fed up with the rising costs and rather stay home and watch all sorts of games nowComment -

#47yea and it really sucks. All these kids that wont get to see games at the stadium. I have a ton of memories going to Fenway as a kid, back then you could just decide on a whim go to the park and watch a game not to much money. Now if a Dad wants to bring his wife and his two kids and one of their friends it costs a fortune. Also with all the hi-def TV's and how comfortable you can make your house it nice to be comfortable but going to a game is about the experience.Comment -

Dead on about the corporate comment, 2 years ago I got to sit in the EMC club at Fenway(a friends mom is big wig at some oil company so Gulf has season tix) Best seats TV's everywhere so we could watch Celtics at same time. I swear only the group that I was with was even watching. Everyone else was just sitting in the restaurant part eating lobsters they could care less what was on the field. its sadComment -
