Guys, remember to stay disciplined...it's a marathon, not a sprint...
if you didn't do as well as you would have liked to today, remember to take a step back...don't chase, just cut your losses and move onto the next week...I've learned over the years this is the only way to do it...try to have a guy or two that you check in with when you start to feel weak...always live to see your next bet...

I take it a lot of crazy stuff happened with college today? I'm strictly an NFL guy I only caught the Cal Bears game today.

      zikaris,

today is the kind of day where most college handicappers would chase or bet more than they normally would on NFL games...GL tommorrow...

After this past Sunday I was ready to pack it in (not really, but you know what I mean)....anyways, Saturady was a banner day for me and I fully expect to clean house again today.

          Excellent advice pags.

I actually had a good Saturday too but have had others that were really awful.

Its so hard to scrape and struggle to go up say 10 units over the span of a few weeks only to give it all back with one bad day. The urge to chase can be so strong. But just look at past performance, take the bad day as an anomoly and keep going.

I find it helpful to chart my financials in excel and overlay the line graph with a trendline. It gives you a big picture view. As long as that trendline is still headed upward (even slightly) then I can get over even the worst day.

It's really hard not to think of it as a sprint when you're capping more than just one sport. I understand not chasing, but if there are still games/matches you were looking at, just try to cap them as normal without the emotional sting from your losing day.

We bet everything and the decisions we make are based on how are bets are going in each time slot.

I guess it's about discipline. Easy to say but hard to do.

                Again Discipline.

Excellent advice. Being able to survive an "0-for" day makes you eligible to be around for the time when you sweep the board.

                        Great advice, pags.

Staying disciplined and keeping your emotions intact is a lot better than having a live meltdown on the forum.

Brandon Lang should sue this guy for stealing his line.

I am staying a float...no problem... but I do not bet as many games as most of you guys... Makes it much easier.
